The Eknath Shinde-led government will present these new names to the Union Government. The names of seven stations will be changed It was argued that the names of most of the stations on the Mumbai Local network, in English, have a colonial history. Thus, changing them will usher in a new chapter of embracing the country’s independent future. Chandrakant Patil, state parliamentary affairs minister, moved the resolution, which was adopted unanimously.
