APPOINTMENT
Hyatt Regency Kolkata has announced the appointment of Nikhil Pol as its new Director of Engineering, effective June 2025.
Nikhil brings with him almost a decade of extensive experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong foundation in Engineering operations. He holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering from University of Mumbai, which he completed in 2015.
Nikhil began his hospitality journey in 2015 as a Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET) at Taj Fort Aguada Resort & Spa. Demonstrating consistent professional growth, he advanced to Assistant Engineering Manager at the same property before moving to Taj Ambassador, New Delhi in 2018 as Engineering Manager. In 2022, Nikhil took on a leadership role as Assistant Chief Engineer at The Leela Goa, where he played a key role in the brand conversion of the property into The St. Regis Goa Resort. He continued in this role until August 2023.
Most recently, he was a key team member in opening the first Moxy hotel in West India, Moxy Mumbai Andheri West, which is part of Marriott International, where he held the position of Chief Engineer.
In his new role, Nikhil will oversee all engineering and maintenance operations at the property, ensuring optimal functionality of infrastructure and systems. He will focus on driving operational efficiency, implementing sustainable practices, and maintaining safety and compliance standards.
