Hyatt Announces Bold Strategic Leadership Changes

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced key global leadership changes to accelerate its growth strategy.

The leadership transitions take effect July 2025, and align with Hyatt’s efforts to broaden its global expertise and drive innovation across growing portfolio of brands.

Marc Jacheet Appointed Group President, Europe, Africa & Middle East (EAME)

Marc Jacheet

Hyatt has appointed Marc Jacheet as Group President, EAME, following his transition into the role beginning March 17, 2025. Based in Zurich, Jacheet brings over 25 years of experience from global luxury brands including De Beers, Louis Vuitton, Moët & Chandon, Evian, and Tiffany & Co. He will oversee all EAME operations and report directly to President and CEO Mark Hoplamazian.

Javier Águila Appointed President, Inclusive Collection

Javier Águila

Javier Águila, who has been leading Hyatt’s EAME region to significant growth and performance since 2022, is being appointed as Hyatt’s President, Inclusive Collection, effective March 1, 2025. In his new global role, Águila will oversee Hyatt’s overall growth through development strategy and execution as well as transactions.

Jim Chu Appointed Head of Owner Relations

Hyatt veteran Jim Chu, who has served as Chief Growth Officer since 2022, has taken on a new role as Head of Owner Relations, effective July 1. In this position, he will bring dedicated focus and leadership to strengthening relationships with Hyatt’s global network of hotel owners and investment partners.
