Six Senses’ Women’s Wellness Program
The Female Wellness programs represent a recent addition to the Six Senses integrated wellness approach. Concentrating on perimenopause, menopause, and overall female health, each tailored journey of 3, 5, or 7 days seeks to empower women by providing knowledge and resources to maintain hormone and metabolic balance during transitions and throughout their monthly cycles.
Amid the Six Senses properties, away from the pressures of daily life, guests are encouraged to explore the intricate connections, science, and wisdom surrounding the female body. This exploration covers female hormone cycles, fasting, blood sugar measurement, body composition changes, and sexual wellness. A non-invasive Wellness Screening assesses key biometric markers, followed by Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) throughout the program to monitor the guest’s blood sugar levels in alignment with fasting principles and their hormonal cycle.
Five properties are amongst the first to offer female wellness programs, along with other Six Senses around the world, to follow suit in the coming months.

The World Economic Forum acknowledges the gender health gap, particularly the insufficient data on female hormones and health that is accessible to women. The Six Senses Female Wellness programs strive to educate and empower women on essential topics like nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, mindset, and lifestyle choices.

These programs draw on the expertise of Dr. Mindy Pelz, a bestselling author and proponent of holistic wellness methods.

At every Six Senses property, Integrated Wellness Practitioners create a tailored plan for each guest based on their initial Wellness Screening. Following this, a range of holistic and locally inspired treatments, therapies, and activities are designed to soothe the nervous system and enhance the oxytocin levels stimulated by fasting.
Programs embrace the Six Senses high-tech, high-touch wellness philosophy, integrating Sleep With Six Senses and Eat With Six Senses principles into every stay. Each guest room is designed for optimal sleep, featuring handmade mattresses by Naturalmat, an organic pillow selection, and quality bedding. Guests can request a complimentary sleep tracker or tracking ring to monitor various metrics during their stay. The data is evaluated during a sleep review, allowing for adjustments to enhance sleep quality on subsequent nights.
In line with Mindy’s teachings, guests will adhere to a fasting regimen aligned with their cycles. Those participating in menopause or perimenopause programs will alternate between fasting, ketosis, and hormone-boosting foods, emphasizing healthy carbohydrates and fibers. All meals are guided by the three principles of Eat With Six Senses: natural ingredients, local sustainability, and minimalism. This philosophy, which ensures food is both nutritious and delightful, allows guests to enjoy meals that make them feel better than when they arrived. Menus are crafted with a clean, simple approach to preparation, emphasizing quality, balance, and fresh, scratch-made whole foods. Much of the produce is sourced from the organic gardens and mushroom hubs of Six Senses properties, and in certain locations, eggs and milk are sourced from on-site farms.
The three-day program delves into the basics of hormonal and metabolic health. The five-day program offers a more in-depth examination of the essential elements affecting hormonal balance, mood, cravings, sleep, weight, and mental clarity. Meanwhile, the seven-day program focuses on developing lasting connections among fasting, food, exercise, self-care, and hormonal balance, with a stronger emphasis on weight release, metabolic flexibility, and detox principles that promote sustainable hormonal health and overall well-being after returning home.
Dr. Mindy Pelz has several videos that explain her approach and tools, the rhythm of menstrual and hormonal cycles, and how to align exercise and fasting with these cycles. The videos also cover the impact of fasting on sex hormones, fertility, vital transitions during menopause, the importance of journaling, microbiome repair, and crucial lifestyle changes for women over 40. Six Senses will introduce Female Wellness programs at five properties this year: Six Senses Douro Valley, Six Senses Rome, Six Senses Kanuhura, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, and Six Senses Crans-Montana. The aim is to extend these programs to all Six Senses properties in the future. They will be available year-round and can be enjoyed by solo travellers or as part of a group or family trip.
