Radisson Leads European Tourism Rebirth
Radisson Hotel Group has capitalized on its record year in 2024, marked by the highest number of signings and openings, by successfully reopening the Radisson Collection Hotel in Berlin and starting 2025 on a high note. The company aims to add 37,000 rooms in key European markets tourism and growth efforts in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

The year kicked off with the opening of the Radisson Collection Hotel in Berlin. This lifestyle landmark is situated in the lively Mitte district, near attractions like the Berlin Cathedral and Museumsinsel. Branded as “Berlin's new icon,” it delivers an extraordinary experience for business and leisure travelers. Following an incident in December 2022, the property has been revitalized and now features a breathtaking “Living Tree” in its lobby.
Following this introduction, the signing of a Radisson RED Hotel in Berlin and a Radisson property in Krefeld is announced. The Krefeld hotel will be situated within a newly constructed mixed-use development, whereas the RED Hotel in Berlin is currently being extensively modernized in preparation for its opening in late 2026. Additionally, this year will see the launch of a Prize by Radisson hotel in Osnabrück, alongside two new Radisson properties.
“Next to these additions, we further also just announced the signing of three new Radisson Individuals hotels, adding an additional 314 rooms to our German portfolio, and confirming our commitment to Germany as a strategic and key focus market for Radisson Hotel Group”, added Elie Younes.
HARBR. Hotel Heilbronn, part of Radisson Individuals, features 127 rooms and is situated in Heilbronn’s business district, right next to the ‘Wissenschafts- und Technologie-Zentrum’, a technology park that hosts several companies, making it ideal for business travelers. HARBR. Hotel Konstanz, also a Radisson Individuals member, offers 76 rooms and lies near Lake Constance, just a short distance from the Swiss border. This hotel caters well to leisure and business guests thanks to its central location and proximity to the old town. HARBR. Hotel Ludwigsburg, another member of Radisson Individuals, comprises 111 rooms and provides easy access to the city center, train station, and primary attractions. When these three Radisson Individuals hotels open later this year, the Group’s portfolio in Germany will expand to 64 hotels in operation and development, totaling 14,648 rooms across 9 of the Group’s brands, showcasing the most considerable Radisson Hotel Group presence in any European country.
Building in tier-1 markets across Europe and other regions, leveraging its strategy of relevant brands tailored for each market and its strength in both conversions and new developments. Currently, 65% of RHG’s owners operate multiple hotels within the group, and half of these owners have retained their properties for 20 years or longer.
Radisson Hotel Group has experienced significant growth in Europe, highlighted by recent signings and openings throughout the continent. Notably, four new properties have been signed in Norway, marking the debut of Radisson Individuals and Prize by Radisson hotels in the Nordic region. These hotels are scheduled to open later this year, offering a total of 519 rooms in proximity to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bergen.
Radisson Hotel Group revealed plans to open the Medlock Hotel in late 2026 at the Etihad Campus, the entertainment hub of Manchester City Football Club. The hotel will feature over 400 rooms, including a premium penthouse suite and access to the Campus amenities. This announcement comes after introducing a Prize by Radisson hotel in Glasgow, marking the first in the UK. Additionally, the Group has unveiled plans for a new 180-key Radisson hotel at the upcoming home of Oxford United Football Club, which will be the UK’s first all-electric stadium.
Radisson Hotel Group has reached over 10 hotels in Iberia, extending its footprint into new areas of Spain with the signings of Radisson RED Malaga and Radisson Resort & Residences Tenerife. Additionally, it is enhancing its presence in the capital with the new Radisson Collection Madrid. In Portugal, the Group announced the signing of Radisson RED Porto Gaia and the refurbished Radisson Blu Hotel in Lisbon.
In Paris, two extraordinary flagship hotels are being developed: Maison Rivoli Paris, a Radisson Collection Hotel, and Radisson Blu Hotel, Paris Porte de Versailles. Meanwhile, Le Relais de La Malmaison, a member of Radisson Individuals, has recently opened its doors, providing guests with a peaceful retreat near the city.
In the Middle East, the Group has revealed two new Park Inn by Radisson locations in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, featuring 587 hotel rooms and 146 serviced apartments in collaboration with Knowledge Economic City. Additionally, the new Radisson RED Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, will add 285 rooms and event spaces, showcasing remarkable design in the city's upward trajectory.
With new openings and signings in the Philippines, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka, ranking among the top five fastest-growing hotel groups. In India, the Group is set to surpass 200 hotels (both operational and in development) and has announced two new properties in Bengaluru, along with flagship hotels in significant cities like Ludhiana and Jaipur.
Radisson Hotel Group is poised for another record year in 2025, bolstered by a robust pipeline of upcoming openings and signings that enhance its global growth strategy.
