This concept came from two years of research on consumer behaviour, business traveller requirements, and design innovation. The brand plans to incorporate insights from this concept room into the future development of Pullman, creating flexible environments that cater to the dynamic needs of modern travellers.

Located in Pullman Singapore Orchard, the concept room is a pioneering showcase of Pullman’s innovative spirit. This space allows guests to experience the design and features defining the next generation of Pullman hotels. The Transforming Room is fully equipped with advanced technologies and digital enhancements, enabling guests to customize their environment with a button.

Transforming Design

Upon arriving in The Transforming Room at Pullman Singapore Orchard, guests scan a QR code to access the room’s high-tech controls. Providing an immersive guest experience through multi-sensory design, the guest can customise and adjust all room functions using the app. Some of the features of The Transforming Room include:

• Multipurpose workspace equipped with numerous outlets, clock, portable lamp, a drinking water tap, and vanity mirror
• Privacy screen to separate the space from the other side of the room
• LG innovative display technology for movies, fitness classes, room control feedback and presentations
• Space-saving TECE toilet technology that combines a toilet and bidet
• Bathroom mirror with adjustable mood lighting
• Dornbracht shower technology for a customisable and therapeutic shower experience, catering to guest’s personal health and wellness needs
• Murphy bed that enables the room to seamlessly transition from sleep mode to various multifunctional spaces such as a lounge, dining or meeting layout
• COMPOZ parfum module that allows guests to create and schedule their preferred playlist of scents according to their mood and activity
• Synchronised lights and scents to create an ideal atmosphere
• Various workout modes and virtual training programmes
• Outside patio with greenery

In The Transforming Room, guests experience restorative sleep through a multi-sensory journey designed to promote relaxation and facilitate deep slumber. Housekeeping lowers the custom-designed Murphy bed from its discreet storage wall. With a few taps on the app, the video screen turns off, blackout curtains close, and the COMPOZ fragrance module activates a series of scents that create an atmosphere conducive to sleep.

Mornings in the Transforming Room provide a personalized multi-sensory wake-up experience. With the touch of a button, the curtains smoothly open, flooding the room with natural daylight, which helps boost the body’s serotonin production. Throughout the day, different scents can be adjusted to match various moods or activities, all controlled through the room's app.

The Transforming Room prototype app offers a range of fitness and mindfulness sessions provided by PELOTON, along with digital art from ART POINT. The modular interiors can be quickly adjusted to create additional space for wellness routines and workouts. Users can select their personal wellness activities, which are guided by professional trainers and displayed on a large in-room screen.

In-room dining is elevated with the Murphy bed tucked away in its wall compartment, creating space for an intimate dining experience. This setting is perfect for a special dinner date, a celebration with friends, or a productive working lunch for a team of busy creatives.
