Marriott International brings W Hotels to Hangzhou

Marriott International has signed an agreement to bring the W Hotels brand to Hangzhou in 2031, at the northwest intersection of Minhe Road and Liyi Road in Qianjiang Century City. This area is part of Hangzhou's developing new Central Business District.

Marriott International, Inc. recently announced signing an agreement with Zhong An Commercial Group, a part of China New City Group, to bring the W Hotels brand to Hangzhou. The anticipated opening of W Hangzhou is set for 2031 at the northwest intersection of Minhe Road and Liyi Road in Qianjiang Century City, Hangzhou's developing new Central Business District (CBD).

About the Hotel

W Hangzhou is set to open in Hangzhou's new CBD on the east bank of the Qiantang River. Its street-front location promises excellent visibility and accessibility, around 15 kilometres from Hangzhou East Railway Station and approximately 24 kilometres from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. The hotel is adjacent to well-known landmarks and attractions, including the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Expo Center and InCity, the largest retail centre in the area, in Qianjiang Century City.

Designed by the renowned architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, W Hangzhou will occupy the top floors of a 240-meter building within the IOC complex. The hotel will feature 270 guest rooms and suites, with around half offering direct river views. Guests can enjoy two signature restaurants, a bar, a swimming pool, a FIT fitness centre, and the AWAY Spa. The hotel will also offer a ballroom, a junior ballroom, and four meeting rooms for social events and meetings.
