IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of its first Vignette Collection property in Türkiye, the Union Han in Istanbul Karaköy. Owned by Cortex Turizm, this converted hotel will become the 16th IHG hotel in the city and is set to open in the second half of 2025.

The Vignette Collection, Union Han, located in Istanbul Karaköy, continues IHG’s growth momentum in Türkiye, bringing the total number of opened and signed properties in the country to 45. This latest signing contributes to an expanding portfolio of Vignette Collection properties worldwide, which aims to reach 100 hotels within the next ten years. This development enhances IHG’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio, one of the largest in the world, which currently includes nearly 900 open and signed hotels globally.

Vignette Collection is IHG’s luxury conversion brand. It allows owners to retain the independent identity and character of their hotels while providing guests with a one-of-a-kind stay in destinations to remember. Staying true to the brand’s ethos, Vignette Collection, Union Han, Istanbul Karaköy will be underpinned by its own “A Means for Good” initiative, highlighting the hotel’s partnerships with local non-profit organisations to spearhead positive contributions to the communities in which it operates.

Located in the Tütün Han building, the hotel will offer 51 rooms, an all-day artisan bakery and speciality food restaurant, and wellness facilities that include a spa.
