Hotel Seville Nomad Joins the Unbound Collection by Hyatt

Allen Gross, Chairman of GFI Hospitality, has revealed that the previous James NoMad Hotel will be rebranded as Hotel Seville NoMad, becoming part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. As part of this transition and upcoming property enhancements, Hotel Seville NoMad is set to offer an improved guest experience in New York's NoMad district, which will include a new lobby bar and amenities reflecting the building’s historical significance. Under Hyatt's management, the hotel’s restoration to its early 20th-century grandeur aligns with the broader revitalization of the historic NoMad neighbourhood, creating a new centre for dining, shopping, and activities in New York.

Nestled in a beautifully maintained Beaux Arts building from 1903, Hotel Seville NoMad harmoniously combines classic architectural charm with modern design, tributing to a legacy of art, culture, and cuisine. The hotel, featuring 348 rooms, showcases redesigned accommodations, revitalized interiors, and guest activities, highlighted by Il Bar, a new lobby experience reminiscent of a residential setting. The enhanced guest rooms will effortlessly fuse contemporary comfort with design, showcasing vintage-inspired furniture and textured materials in shades of gray and blue. Drawing inspiration from famous locations worldwide, every guest room will also display captivating art pieces, honoring the spirit of travel.

SAVORING SEVILLE

Located in the vibrant NoMad district of New York City, Hotel Seville NoMad serves as a gateway to the city's essential cultural, culinary, and artistic experiences. Inside the hotel, the acclaimed restaurant Scarpetta marries rustic Italian tradition with presentation, offering a menu of dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients. In addition to Scarpetta’s offerings, The Seville is a hidden speakeasy that features a rotating lineup of live jazz and DJ performances, immersing guests in a nostalgic New York atmosphere with a modern flair.

Il Bar, the hotel’s latest venue, launched in early 2025 as a guest gathering spot in the lobby. It features a beautifully cascading stone bar crafted by Thomas Juul-Hansen and serves cocktails and small bites. Open from Tuesday to Saturday, 3:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Il Bar invites guests to unwind with happy hour selections, pre-dinner drinks, or a soothing nightcap, complementing any New York experience.
