Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Shebandowan Holdings, S.A. have unveiled the initial phase of Hotel La Compañía del Valle. Currently, 40 guestrooms and suites are open, with 30 scheduled to launch in May 2025. Hotel La Compañía del Valle invites guests and World of Hyatt members to explore a new destination in central Panama adorned with biodiversity, mountains, and landscapes. As part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, this hotel sets a new standard for luxury in Panama’s Valle de Antón, a desirable countryside getaway 50 miles west of Panama City and approximately 2,000 feet above sea level within the crater of an extinct volcano.

Tuscan-Inspired Retreat in Panama’s Countryside

Inspired by Tuscany's aesthetics, the hotel captures the essence of El Valle de Antón and establishes a meaningful retreat. It boasts 70 guest rooms and suites across four wings, each equipped with balconies and terraces overlooking the mountains, garden courtyard, or communal areas. These accommodations are designed with natural elements, ensuring an inviting experience.

The hotel boasts a sculpture park showcasing over 200 art pieces arranged throughout its corridors and public spaces. Set to open in May 2025, the Elysium Spa will be the hotel's centrepiece, featuring an extensive 18,000 sq. ft. space dedicated to natural healing treatments. Guests can enjoy experiences like chocolate and wine therapy, a saltwater pool, and Roman baths, among other amenities. The hotel is conveniently situated just two miles from El Valle, which allows guests to discover local cafés, churches, markets, and shops. The gastronomy program, which features onsite restaurants, each pegged to an element, is led by Executive Chef Patrice Jaumon, whose experience spans Michelin-starred kitchens in France and acclaimed restaurants across London, Morocco, Bora Bora, Mexico, and Champagne. Known for his modern take on Panamanian cuisine, Jaumon helped establish Hotel La Compañía in Casco Antiguo and Villa Ana in 1928 as the most sought-after culinary destinations in Panama City. Every meal is a culinary masterpiece crafting unforgettable dining experiences using fresh and seasonal ingredients, from Tiempo, which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with international flavours, to the upscale open-flame charcoal restaurant serving lunch and dinner, Fuego (opening March 2025), and the first Mediterranean and vegetarian restaurant in El Valle, Terra (opening March 2025).
