DoubleTree Comes to Derry-Londonderry

Hilton has announced the signing of DoubleTree by Hilton Derry-Londonderry. This marks the brand’s debut in Northern Ireland’s second-biggest city, as part of a franchise agreement with the longstanding owners of the City Hotel.

The hotel, managed by Focus Hotels, is located in the centre of one of Ireland’s oldest cities. It offers guests sweeping views of the River Foyle, a historic waterway that has been integral to the region’s trade and transport for centuries. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the area’s rich heritage, with key landmarks such as the striking Guildhall, Tower Museum, and the 17th-century City Walls all within a five-minute walk. Adjacent to the hotel is the Quayside Shopping Centre, providing convenient access to shopping and dining options.

For those looking to explore further afield, the hotel is located within 5km of the Irish Border, providing easy access to County Donegal, part of the world-renowned Wild Atlantic Way. The 158-room hotel, which will open in 2025 after extensive refurbishment, will include a bar and restaurant, a ballroom, seven meeting rooms, on-site parking, and a wellness club with a swimming pool catering to business and leisure travellers.
