Hilton has announced the signing of Tempo by Hilton Belfast City Centre under a franchise deal with Loughview Leisure Group. This marks the brand’s inaugural international launch, following its successful debut in the United States. The hotel will join a global network of 56 existing and forthcoming hotels, with more openings planned for 2025 in San Diego, California; Nashville, Tennessee; and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

The signing emphasizes Hilton’s commitment to enhancing its presence in Northern Ireland, building on nearly 30 years of success in the area. With the demand for high-quality accommodations in Belfast and surrounding regions still growing, the company plans to open three new properties in 2025: the much-anticipated The Marcus Portrush, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton Belfast City Ten Square, and DoubleTree by Hilton Derry-Londonderry. This expansion will effectively double Hilton's room inventory in the country over the next year and expand the brands offered from three to five by the end of 2026.

Nick Smart, Vice President, Development, UK and Ireland, Hilton, said, “Northern Ireland has a rich heritage and rapidly growing international appeal. We’re committed to ensuring that every traveller has access to a high-quality hotel to suit their needs – from business travellers and locals who want to explore what’s on their doorstep, to adventurous global visitors looking to experience everything this country has to offer. This latest brand entry is a significant milestone, and we’re delighted to work with partners like Loughview Leisure Group who bring a wealth of local experience and share our commitment to providing exceptional accommodation to suit every traveller.”

The 144-room Tempo by Hilton Belfast City Centre, planned to convert vacant office space in the city centre, aims to offer thoughtfully designed accommodations for travellers. In line with the brand’s mission to help guests maintain their routines during their stay, the hotel will include wellness-focused amenities and a varied selection of food and beverages.

The fitness center will feature premium equipment from Technogym, Precor, or Life Fitness, alongside both traditional and circuit training options, plus hydration stations, all providing the brand’s signature ‘Power Up’ experience.

Our guest rooms prioritize comfort and wellness, showcasing organic Origins bathroom products. Each room includes a dedicated ‘Get Ready Zone’ featuring a bright vanity mirror, a custom desk, and an open wardrobe, making it easy for travellers to get ready. Additionally, guests have the option to request In-Room Fitness Gear Kits for tailored workouts and can relax with ‘Power Down’ in collaboration with the Calm app.

The hotel will be located next to the Cathedral Quarter and just a short distance from Belfast City Hall, ensuring easy access to the city’s main attractions. It will also feature convenient transport options, with George Best City Airport just a seven-minute drive and Belfast International Airport about a 25-minute drive away, making it an ideal choice for short city breaks and business trips. The hotel is projected to open in late 2026.
