“The city of Shanghai continues to be a priority market for Accor and the Swissôtel brand is in high demand among travelers and hotel owners. Swissôtel Shanghai Hongqiao will be an impressive addition to the neighbourhood and a great complement to Swissôtel Grand Shanghai in Jing’An,” said Gary Rosen, CEO of Accor Greater China.

“We proudly lead the hospitality sector with fresh and sustainable hospitality options and innovations, such as the Swissôtel Living experience for guests who want to live well in the heart of Gubei. Swissôtel Shanghai Hongqiao will bring a welcoming experience of Swiss efficiency and contemporary comfort that Chinese and international travelers will enjoy, while on business or holiday.”

The Shanghai Hongqiao Gubei Business Development Area is evolving. It features upgraded infrastructure and amenities designed to enhance the local environment for residents while establishing a business hub in western Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta. Renowned as a commercial and residential locale, the Hongqiao Gubei area thrives with many street-level boutiques, restaurants, bars, sycamore trees, green spaces, and community initiatives to attract tourists and local visitors.

The arrival of Swissôtel Shanghai Hongqiao at the intersection of Hongxu Road and Wuzhong Road, near the Caohejing Economic and Technological Development Zone and Shanghai Xinzhuang Industrial Park, will support the revitalization efforts of the Shanghai Hongqiao Gubei Business Development area. Not only will the global reputation of Swissôtel draw visitors and boost tourism, but the brand’s commitment to sustainability, vitality, and purposeful living aligns with the community values of Gubei.
