Ethiopian Airlines launched a new passenger service to Hyderabad, India, on June 16, 2025. This route will operate three times a week and was inaugurated with a ceremony at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. Senior government officials, ambassadors, distinguished guests, and members of the aviation community attended the event. This new flight route highlights the airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity between Africa and India, while providing passengers with more convenient travel options.

The new flight schedule is as follows:

  • ET 682: Addis Ababa (ADD) to Hyderabad (HYD) – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays
  • ET 683: Hyderabad (HYD) to Addis Ababa (ADD) – Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays

 

During the official launch of the new route, Mesfin Tasew, the Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, stated, “We are pleased to commence this new passenger service to Hyderabad, the fifth destination Ethiopian operates in India. We believe that beyond providing air transportation, this new flight will play a pivotal role in strengthening trade and tourism ties between the two regions.”

 

The CEO further remarked, “This route offers convenient passenger transport services, and Ethiopian will continue to explore new opportunities to expand its network in India and the surrounding region. As the continent’s leading carrier, with extensive connectivity and world-class service, we remain dedicated to meeting growing demand and fostering stronger partnerships across borders.”

Ethiopian Airlines currently operates more than fifty weekly flights dedicated to both passengers and cargo, serving five Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Chennai. With the introduction of a new passenger route to Hyderabad, Ethiopian Airlines aims to strengthen its presence in India and meet the increasing travel demand. This expansion provides passengers with more options and facilitates seamless connections to and through India and the wider region.

British Airways Adds Three New Short-Haul Routes for Winter 2025 British Airways is expanding its short-haul network with new services to Rabat, Graz, and Madrid for the Winter 2025 season. New Routes from London Gatwick (BA Euroflyer) BA Euroflyer will launch year-round flights to Rabat, Morocco, and Graz, Austria: Rabat: Starting 5 November 2025, flights will operate twice weekly (Wednesdays and Sundays) using an Airbus A320. Fares start from £70 each way. Rabat becomes BA’s third Moroccan destination alongside Marrakech and Agadir.
