Emirates Adds Third Daily Flight to Mauritius From December 2025
Emirates will introduce a third daily flight to Mauritius starting 1 December 2025, enhancing connectivity to the Indian Ocean destination across its global network. The new service, operated by a three-class Boeing 777-300ER, will increase seat capacity on the route by over 30%, catering to growing demand from leisure and business travellers alike.
The additional frequency, designated EK709/710, complements Emirates’ existing twice-daily Airbus A380 services (EK701/702 and EK703/704). Operated under a codeshare agreement with Air Mauritius, the new flight schedule offers more flexibility and connectivity options, particularly for travellers originating from the Middle East, Europe, the Americas, and expanding into Far East markets such as Japan, China, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.
Flight Timings
-
EK709 departs Dubai daily at 06:55 hrs, arriving in Mauritius at 13:40 hrs.
-
EK710 departs Mauritius at 18:30 hrs, landing in Dubai at 01:10 hrs the following day.
(All times local.)
Bookings for the third daily service are now open on emirates.com, the Emirates App, through travel agents, and at Emirates ticketing offices.
Supporting Tourism and Air Travel Demand
This move underscores Emirates’ ongoing commitment to supporting inbound tourism to Mauritius. The airline has served the destination since 2002, transporting over 8.8 million passengers and 126,000 tonnes of cargo, thereby making a significant contribution to the local economy.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, commented:

We thank the Mauritian authorities for supporting this expansion. The third daily service not only meets increased demand but enhances our ability to connect global travellers to Mauritius. The codeshare with Air Mauritius continues to strengthen the appeal of this destination.
Economic Impact and Partnership Efforts
Beyond passenger travel, Emirates’ operations have had a notable economic and social impact:
-
USD 119 million in direct contributions from flights
-
USD 264 million in tourism receipts
-
USD 530 million in broader tourism-related spending
-
Supporting over 3,600 local jobs
Emirates’ partnership with Air Mauritius (since 2003) and Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) (since 2012) has enabled coordinated efforts to promote Mauritius in key international markets.
Currently, Emirates offers 14 weekly A380 flights to Mauritius with over 15,000 seats available each week. Emirates remains the only airline operating A380s and offering First Class cabins on flights to the island.
