Daily connectivity between Bhubaneswar and Kuala Lumpur, all thanks to AirAsia
In a post on its social media handles of X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, Airports Authority of India has announced the launch of a new flight route.

The announcement
The route will be launched on May 28, 2024, and will operate on a daily basis. The flight will be connecting Bhubaneswar Airport and Kuala Lumpur, and will be operated by AirAsia. In a tweet, Airports Authority of India announced, “The Airports Authority of India, in close coordination with Air Asia, announces the launch of a new flight connecting Bhubaneswar Airport to Kuala Lumpur starting from tomorrow, May 28. This connectivity promises direct access to Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant offerings, and enhanced travel convenience to passengers.”

According to MakeMyTrip, the duration of the flight will be three hours fifty minutes and it will leave from Bhubaneswar at 23:50 every day. The prices for the first flight, on May 28, stand at around ₹19,000, but the flights scheduled a month later onwards will cost around ₹8,000 for Low Fare and around ₹17,000 for Premium Flex.
