Etihad Airways Expands Routes to Peshawar

Etihad Airways is extending its global reach by introducing flights to Peshawar, Pakistan, beginning on 29 September 2025. This new route will link Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi (AUH) with Bacha Khan International Airport (PEW) in Peshawar, providing smooth connections to Etihad’s expanding network of destinations.

Peshawar, steeped in history and culture, is an essential hub for local and international travellers. Its well-connected airport caters to both business and leisure passengers. Alongside Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore, Peshawar becomes Etihad’s fourth nonstop route to Pakistan.

Etihad will run this route with its Airbus A320 family aircraft, which include eight seats in Business Class and 150 in Economy, allowing passengers to experience Etihad’s acclaimed service onboard. The service will start at five times a week, with daily flights launching on 22 November 2025.

Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways said: “We are thrilled to further expand our presence in Pakistan with the launch of our daily service between Abu Dhabi and Peshawar. This new route reflects our commitment to providing vital connectivity for travellers between Pakistan and the Gulf, Africa, Europe, and North America. In addition to new flights to Peshawar, we are boosting our frequency to Karachi to 17 flights a week from 1 October.”

This expansion comes after the recent inclusion of Addis Ababa in Etihad’s network, marking the airline’s sixteenth new destination for 2025. In addition to Peshawar, Etihad has unveiled new routes to Prague, Warsaw, Algiers, Tunis, and Atlanta and is also enhancing frequencies to major European cities such as Paris, Milan, Manchester, Frankfurt, Zurich, and Madrid. With this expanding network, Etihad’s Abu Dhabi Stopover program offers travellers more chances to explore the city, featuring up to two complimentary nights at premium hotels and transforming layovers into memorable experiences.
