Akasa Air Forays Into Bihar; Launches Operations From Darbhanga - Its 28th Destination

Darbhanga Welcomes Akasa Air Routes

Akasa Air has begun operations in Darbhanga and is officially entering the Bihar market. The airline has started daily direct flights between Hyderabad and Darbhanga, with a stop in Delhi, eliminating the need to change aircraft there. This new route improves connectivity between the popular tourist destination and two key metropolitan areas.

The first flight was officially launched by Honourable Minister of Civil Aviation, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, alongside Akasa Air’s Founder and CEO, Vinay Dube, and his team during a ceremony at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. The event was attended by senior government officials and leaders from Delhi International Airport Limited. The inaugural flight took off from Delhi at 09:00 hrs and landed at Darbhanga Airport at 10:55 hrs. 

A ceremony took place at Darbhanga Airport to mark Akasa’s inaugural flight from the city, featuring team members and airport officials. The celebration highlighted the first flight to Delhi at 11:30 AM. This makes Darbhanga the 28th destination in Akasa Air’s growing network, underscoring the airline’s dedication to improving air connectivity from major cities to Tier 2 and Tier 3 locations nationwide.
