Cygnett’s Growth in Kanpur and Vrindavan Continues
Cygnett Hotels & Resorts is expanding in Uttar Pradesh with the addition of two new hotels: Cozzet Kanpur and Cygnett Inn Vrindavan. These hotels are part of the company’s growth strategy and will enhance its collection of affordable, modern accommodations for travellers.
Cozzet Kanpur, which involves renovating an existing building, is set to open by the end of this year. The hotel aims to provide guests with comfort, convenience, and a taste of local culture. On the other hand, Cygnett Inn Vrindavan is scheduled to open its doors in early 2027.
“The state of Uttar Pradesh is a key market in our expansion strategy as we work towards building a portfolio of 100 hotels in the coming years. We plan to open 10 to 12 properties across Uttar Pradesh over the next two to three years,” said Mr. Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts.
Cozzet Kanpur will feature 40 rooms that blend style and practicality for modern travellers. The hotel will also serve as an ideal venue for events and celebrations, boasting two banquet halls that can accommodate between 8,000 and 10,000 guests. These halls are designed with a contemporary look and equipped with technology. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy meals at the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, which seats 60, or relax at the lounge bar.
Cygnett Inn Vrindavan will feature 60 rooms, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travellers. The hotel will offer a range of amenities, including a restaurant that can seat 80 guests and serves a variety of dishes, a rooftop swimming pool, and a gym for fitness enthusiasts. Additionally, it will have banquet halls capable of accommodating between 600 and 800 guests, making them ideal for weddings, conferences, and social events. With the recent addition of 50 rooms at Cozzet Vrindavan, this new Cygnett Inn brings the total number of rooms in the Divine City of Vrindavan to 100.
Both properties are strategically located with convenient access to key tourist sites. Our expansion in Kanpur and Vrindavan is an extension of our strategy to open properties in both existing and emerging hospitality markets,” added Mr. Sarkar.
Kanpur is known as an industrial hub in North India and features several important tourist attractions, such as the Kanpur Museum and the Bhitargaon Temple. Additionally, Vrindavan, situated in the Braj Bhoomi region, is highly revered for its connection to Lord Krishna’s childhood. The group has also established a presence in Ayodhya, one of the most significant spiritual destinations in Uttar Pradesh.
