Cygnett Hotels Expands in Northeast

Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of its newest property, Cygnett Park Itanagar, located in the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh. This strategically situated hotel is just 800 meters away from Donyi Polo Airport in Arunachal Pradesh. Cygnett Park Itanagar will be the company’s second hotel in Itanagar and is scheduled to open in less than two years.
With this new signing, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts is making significant progress toward achieving a footprint of 600 keys in Northeast India. Currently, the group operates four hotels in the area and has eight more properties in various stages of development and pre-opening.
“The Indian government is committed to the development of Northeast India. The union government has made a significant investment in infrastructure projects, including national highways, the railway network, and telecommunications, in the region. The corporate world is looking at the Northeast with optimism, which has also created positive business sentiments. We expect a balanced demand for our new property, from leisure, business, MICE to a robust wedding segment,” said Mr. Sarbendra Sarkar, founder & managing director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts.
Cygnett Park in Itanagar offers excellent connectivity while being surrounded by the natural beauty of the Itanagar landscape. The city features several important tourist attractions, including Ita Fort, the Jawaharlal Nehru Museum, Ganga Lake, and Gompa Mandir.
The property features 100 keys spread across two acres and includes over 6,000 square feet of banqueting space, complemented by an adjoining lawn. Cygnett Park in Itanagar also offers a range of amenities, including a club lounge, a rooftop speciality restaurant, an all-day dining restaurant, a swimming pool, a spa, a gym, and recreation zones.
“Cygnett Park Itanagar will be a refreshing urban resort designed with contemporary aesthetics, sustainable architecture, and five-star amenities. True to the Cygnett Park brand ethos: Green, Refreshing, and Wellness-focused; this property aims to offer a rejuvenating stay for the modern traveller,” added Mr. Sarkar.
As Cygnett Hotels & Resorts progresses towards its goal of becoming a hotel group with more than 100 properties in the coming years, the hospitality chain plans to open 10 to 12 new locations across the country each year.
