Since 2009, respected organizations including as "Global Transport Finance," "Airline Economics," "Airfinance Journal," and "Bonds, Loans & Sukuk Turkey" have acknowledged the national flag carrier with various financing awards.

Three Cheers for Turkish Airlines

Turkish Airlines received awards for "European Supported Finance Deal of the Year" and "European Overall Deal of the Year," while Assoc. Thanks to its varied revenue structure, Turkish Airlines, which flies to more countries than any other airline, can minimize currency risks and use cost-effectiveness to expand its geographical financier base. Awarded the "European Overall Deal of the Year" title, AVIC International Leasing and CCB Financial Leasing's financing of three Airbus A350 aircraft in Chinese Yuan marked the recent addition of a new currency to their financing portfolio.

Additionally, Turkish Airlines won the "European Supported Finance Deal of the Year" award for financing two Airbus A350 aircraft with an ECA-guaranteed JOLCO structure in Japanese Yen from BNP Paribas & Citibank and the NTT TC Leasing consortium. This indicates the airline's solid track record in the Japanese market, having entered the market in 2007.

Representing the national flag carrier at the awards ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Murat Şeker said, “I am truly honoured to receive these awards and grateful to be a part of the strong Turkish Airlines family. This recognition reflects everyone's hard work and commitment to the airline. I am confident that the national flag carrier will continue to achieve every step towards its strategic goals."

With its skilled workforce and extensive understanding of various aircraft finance arrangements, Turkish Airlines's aircraft financing team can attain some of the lowest financing prices in the aviation sector. Due to its innovative financing models, many of which have been used for the first time, the national flag carrier has been recognized for numerous financing awards by prestigious organizations like "Global Transport Finance," "Airline Economics," "Airfinance Journal," and "Bonds, Loans & Sukuk Turkey" since 2009. Turkish Airlines has achieved the highest level of performance in this area, having won 30 international aircraft finance awards in the past ten years for its well-executed deals totalling around sixteen billion dollars.
