Emirates inaugurates World Store in Bangkok
Emirates Opens Bangkok World Store
Emirates has officially launched its Emirates World Store in Bangkok. This premium, lounge-style space provides personalized travel services, branded merchandise, and engaging experiences of Emirates’ signature offerings. It symbolizes the airline’s enduring commitment to Thailand and the expanding premium travel market in the region.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, presided over the opening ceremony attended by His Excellency Obaid bin Taresh Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Thailand, Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, Thailand's Minister of Tourism and Sports, and senior management from Emirates, alongside trade and media guests.
The Bangkok World Store represents Emirates’ second major investment in Thailand within a few months. This follows the expansion of its Suvarnabhumi Airport Lounge, which cost THB 175 million (USD 5 million) earlier this year and is the airline’s largest lounge outside of Dubai.
Additionally, this investment aligns with the announcement of a new strategic partnership between Emirates and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to boost inbound tourism to Thailand from Emirates’ global network. Under this agreement, both organizations will work together on marketing and promotional activities to showcase Thailand as a top-tier destination.
“The Emirates World Store in Bangkok is another step forward in our journey to get even closer to our customers in Thailand. Bangkok remains one of our strongest gateways in Southeast Asia, and this new concept store offers an elevated and personalised retail experience that brings the spirit of Emirates into the heart of the city. We’re delighted to give our customers a glimpse of our best-in-class products and services, as well as a space to plan their journeys with Emirates,” Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer said.
The new World Store introduces Emirates’ signature luxury, travel expertise, and hospitality to the core of the city’s commercial district. Situated at Gaysorn Centre, valued for its prime location and immaculate surroundings, the store contains the Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge, allowing visitors a firsthand experience of the elegance available on Emirates’ flagship aircraft. Additionally, it showcases the Premium Economy product, set to launch on flights EK372/373 between Dubai and Bangkok this July.
The open-plan, lounge-like store, covering 254 square meters, embodies Emirates’ bright and spacious onboard design. Expert consultants at dedicated customer service counters offer personalized assistance for flight bookings, ticketing, and general travel inquiries, including customized experiences throughout the airline’s global network. Additionally, the store includes interactive kiosks, digital displays for checking availability and exploring Emirates’ destinations, and an interactive selfie mirror featuring scenic backgrounds.
Global Expansion of the Emirates World Store Concept
The Bangkok World Store represents Emirates’ wider retail expansion efforts. Following successful launches in Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, and beyond, it establishes a new standard for travel retail innovation in Southeast Asia. With a planned investment of USD 27 million over the coming three years, the airline aims to open more Emirates World Stores in major cities around the globe to enhance the customer experience for travelers worldwide.
