Emirates and Fondazione Milan Offer Unique Experience to Eleven Children, in Collaboration With Fondazione Veronesi

Emirates, Milan, Veronesi Team Up

On February 2, International Childhood Cancer Day, Emirates, the Official Airline Partner of AC Milan, teamed up with Fondazione Milan to create a memorable experience for eleven children battling cancer during the Derby della Madonnina. This event was organized in collaboration with Fondazione Veronesi, recognized for supporting scientific research to improve recovery outcomes for young patients.

The guests explored some of the most exclusive parts of San Siro stadium, greeted the First-Team players as they arrived, and received a special surprise from Zlatan Ibrahimović, who welcomed them and offered words of inspiration. As the team warmed up, the group walked around the pitch and met Milanello, the Club mascot, and Gegio, the Rossoneri speaker.

After viewing the match at San Siro with their parents, the children had another opportunity to meet the AC Milan players, who signed Emirates-branded merchandise, like the 2024/25 Home Jersey, and captured keepsake photos of this memorable day.

This initiative, which took place during Emirates’ sponsored AC Milan x Inter match, aligns with similar activations carried out by the airline and AC Milan in previous seasons – including:

  • 23-24 AC Milan v Salernitana (25 May 2024): Emirates gifted 11 mascot places to ASD Sporting Murialdo, a club that facilities sports scholarships for underprivileged youth who otherwise wouldn’t have access to sports due to socioeconomic challenges.
  • 24-25 AC Milan v Genoa (15 Dec 2024): Emirates gifted 11 mascot places to ASD Fenice, an amateur sports association based in the Gratosoglio district in Milan. Through sports such as football, basketball, and volleyball, the association helps young and disadvantaged youth (aged 6-17) overcome socioeconomic barriers, combating school dropout and social exclusion.

These initiatives showcase Emirates’ commitment to its markets and illustrate its global community support. By leveraging its sponsorship portfolio, the airline taps into the power of sport to create impactful connections and promote positive change. Together with Fondazione Milan, both entities strive to make a meaningful difference in Italy and beyond, united by shared values.
