This marks a crucial advancement towards Delta’s ambition of providing free Wi-Fi throughout its global fleet.
Delta's Wi-Fi Upgrade
Delta is achieving another significant milestone in its Wi-Fi deployment: starting in early April, all customers travelling on Delta’s transatlantic routes to Europe, Israel, and West Africa will benefit from fast, complimentary Delta Sync Wi-Fi powered by T-Mobile. This marks a crucial advancement towards Delta’s ambition of providing free Wi-Fi throughout its global fleet. It has already achieved complete coverage for its entire domestic mainline fleet – delivering connectivity at an unmatched scale within the industry. Moreover, the rollout will extend to routes to South America, with completion anticipated later this spring.
Wi-Fi access is expanding quickly for customers staying closer to home. This spring, Delta equipped its first regional jet—a CRJ-700—with fast, free Wi-Fi, which is now in service.
Delta will upgrade its Boeing 717 fleet with a unique solution that establishes a new benchmark in commercial aviation connectivity as part of this connectivity initiative. This solution facilitates dual-network connectivity, ensuring an optimal online experience, allowing seamless streaming on personal devices and enhanced performance throughout Delta’s network.
Stay connected from gate to gate with Delta Sync Wi-Fi. After the boarding doors close, SkyMiles Members can access the internet on one or more devices instantly – there's no need to wait until reaching 10,000 feet. Customers on domestic and international flights can stream the latest from Paramount+, access exclusive offers from their favourite brands, discover travel inspiration for their journey, along with real-time trip updates, challenge themselves with games and puzzles from New York Times Games, play the retro-style Sky Hopper game for a chance to win a $400 gift card; explore unique gifts and Centennial-branded merchandise in the onboard Delta Shop; and so much more. Delta Sync Wi-Fi opens up a world of connectivity right at your fingertips.
Delta expects dual-network connectivity retrofits to begin in Q4 and the entire 717 fleet to be completed by early 2026.
In late 2026, select new-delivery A350-1000 and A321neo aircraft will also be outfitted with a dual-network connectivity solution, further enhancing our next-generation Delta Sync seatback experience. As announced at CES, the next-gen seatback experience will include intelligent 4K HDR QLED displays, Bluetooth capabilities, advanced personalization capabilities, and more.

“Thanks to the dedication and expertise of Delta teams, we’re making enormous strides in our efforts to bring fast, free Wi-Fi to every aircraft in our fleet—which in turn will transform our aircraft into personalized platforms where customers can connect and engage in meaningful new ways,” said Ranjan Goswami, S.V.P. – Customer Experience Design.
“With the addition of our pioneering dual-network connectivity solution to 717s and forthcoming A350-1000 and A321neo new deliveries, we’re unlocking new possibilities for what it means to stay connected in the air.”
