Air France Adds Star Chef Daniel Boulud
Starting in July 2025, the esteemed Michelin-starred French chef Daniel Boulud in New York will create exclusive signature dishes for Air France's La Première and Business cabins. These meals will be introduced incrementally on flights leaving the airline's US destinations.
Air France now offers its new La Première suite on daily flights to New York, collaborating with a renowned French chef based in this iconic American city.
This summer, the new dishes will launch in La Première and Business cabins on flights from New York-JFK to Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the airline's main route, along with flights from Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, and Washington-DC. By year-end, these menus will be accessible from the airline's US destinations.
This marks the second collaboration between this renowned Lyonese chef, celebrated as one of the best globally, and Air France. It presents a fresh opportunity for the airline to highlight French culinary art and provide customers with remarkable flavors. Daniel Boulud will serve uncomplicated and flavorful dishes rooted in traditional French cuisine but with a contemporary twist. Staying true to the company's standards, the chef utilizes fresh, locally sourced ingredients to craft dishes that reflect the seasonal rhythms.
“As both a French chef and a New Yorker, it is an honor for me to play a part in this essential connection that Air France provides between the United States and France. I try to bridge the distance with my culinary offerings as well, which combine innovation and tradition”, said Daniel Boulud.
Daniel Boulud will present exclusive red meat and poultry recipes specifically designed for Air France customers, in partnership with Servair, the premier airline catering service in France.
Air France continues to enhance its premier collaborations with the introduction of new signature dishes available on flights from its global stations to Paris. Notably, the airline is teaming up with Dominique Crenn to provide vegetarian options and intricate fish dishes on flights departing from the United States. Additional partnerships include Julien Royer on flights from Singapore, Olivier Perret from Canada, Olivier Chaignon from Japan, Jofrane Dailly from Reunion Island, and Jean-Charles Brédas for departures from the West Indies, French Guiana, as well as the regional Caribbean network.
Air France allows Business cabin customers to pre-select their hot meals up to 24 hours before departure to combat food waste. This service ensures that customers' meal choices are available while promoting more responsible consumption.
The Air France La Première cabin is now offered on routes from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Abidjan, Dubai, Los Angeles, Miami, New York-JFK, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Tokyo-Haneda, and Washington DC.
*pre-selection of the main dish in the Business cabin is available on the entire Air France long-haul network, excluding Los Angeles.
