Air India's A350 Set to Soar to NYC

Air India's Airbus A350 will begin flying on longer routes, starting with the Delhi-New York JFK route on November 1. Additionally, the Airbus A350-900 will start operating the Delhi-Newark flights from January 2, 2025.

Air India's A350 Takes on the NYC Skyline

Air India has announced that its flagship wide-body aircraft, the Airbus A350, will begin operating on ultra-long-haul routes this year starting from the winter schedule. The first route will be the Delhi-New York JFK flight, commencing on November 1. Additionally, from January 2, 2025, the Airbus A350-900 will be deployed for the airline's Delhi-Newark flights.

Currently, the Tata Group airline has six A350s in its fleet, with an additional 34 on order. Air India has confirmed that it will introduce premium economy class, as well as business and economy classes on these flights. These routes are presently serviced by Boeing 777-300ER planes.

Campbell Wilson, Air India's Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, stated, "The introduction of the Airbus A350 is a significant leap forward for our US operations and underscores our commitment to continuous improvement."

Air India's US operations currently serve five destinations: New York, Newark, Washington, San Francisco, and Chicago. The airline has made seats on these flights available for booking on its website, mobile app, and through travel agents.
