APPOINTMENT
Angsana Velavaru has announced the appointment of Jan Lorenzen as its new Executive Assistant Manager.
With over 20 years of global experience in the luxury hospitality industry, Jan brings a wealth of extensive expertise and a proven track record in leading Food & Beverage across Europe & Asia.
Throughout his distinguished career, Jan has held senior leadership roles with renowned brands including The Landmark London, Millennium Knightsbridge, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Belmond Napasai, Amari Pattaya, and Royal Cliff Hotels Group. Most recently, he oversaw the renovations of all the Food and Beverage outlets at Angsana Laguna Phuket. His extensive experience spans pre-opening management, large-scale MICE operations, and multi-outlet restaurant and bar leadership.
In his new role, Jan envisions further enhancing the resort’s Food and Beverage operations by introducing innovative concepts that celebrate local flavours and global trends. He plans to focus on improving guest experiences, developing talent within the team, and implementing sustainable practices across the resort.
Commenting on his appointment, Jan said, “I believe in empowering my team, fostering a culture of creativity and accountability, and leading by example to achieve our shared goals. I also strive to bring synergy to all departments to create magical moments for all guests.”
