Discover Delhi Airport with DIAL’s Virtual Guide

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), a GMR Airports Limited-led consortium that operates and manages the country’s busiest Delhi Airport, has announced the launch of India’s first Virtual Information Display (VID) kiosks which will make every part of a passenger’s journey smoother, smarter, and more intuitive than ever before.

DIAL has introduced this service at Terminals 1 and 3 of the Delhi Airport intending to elevate convenience, provide instant support, and ensure travellers are always in the know.

Speaking on the launch of VID, CEO-DIAL, Mr. Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, said, “At Delhi Airport, we do not just prepare for the future of travel – we shape it. We ensure that passengers travel through Delhi Airport with confidence and with ease. The VID is not just a kiosk – it is a companion designed to redefine how passengers interact with their airport environment. It is another step toward transforming the airport experience, making it simpler, smarter, and more seamless for passengers – particularly those who are new to air travel.”

VID as a touch of innovation at your fingertips:

After a passenger arrives at the bustling Delhi Airport’s Terminal 1 or 3, instead of searching for help or missing a flight update, they can simply visit a virtual assistant ready to guide them through every step of their journey. The Virtual Information Display (VID) kiosk makes this a reality by offering real-time flight updates with a simple scan of the boarding pass – providing an instant, stress-free way to stay informed.

With intuitive 3D maps and live location tracking, navigating through the terminal becomes effortless. Passengers can easily find their boarding gate, discover the nearest restaurants, shops, or amenities, and explore the airport like never before. The smart search suggestions further help passenger pinpoint specific locations, ensuring they can maximize their time at the airport.

Personalized Help – Anytime, Anywhere:

One of the most exciting features of VID kiosks is their 24/7 live video support. If a passenger has a question, needs help, or just feels unsure, the VID connects you instantly to a customer service agent via video call. It’s the human touch they need, right at their fingertips, whenever they need it. Whether it is flight assistance, navigating the terminal, or inquiring about services, this direct connection ensures passengers are never left in the dark.

A true game-changer for first-time flyers:

First-time travelers often face challenges – from locating the right gates to understanding airport offerings. The VID serves as the ultimate guide, offering personalized support every step of the way. Passenger can simply scan their boarding pass, and instantly receive flight updates, gate directions, and even a downloadable airport map. The VID ensures first-time flyers are never overwhelmed, equipping them with the information they need at the touch of a button.

With strategically placed throughout T1– right after security and near key passenger touchpoints like retail and baggage claim areas – the VID is always within reach, offering timely guidance to both departing and arriving passengers. It is not just about convenience; but about creating a frictionless, enjoyable experience from the moment passenger steps their foot in the airport. The VID is ready for deployment at T3. Currently, one kiosk has been placed at the international arrival pier for passengers’ use and their feedback.

The Virtual Information Display kiosk is more than just a technological upgrade—it’s Delhi Airport’s commitment to continually innovate and enhance passenger satisfaction. With plans for future multi-language support and even more enhanced features such as SOS services and Wi-Fi access, Delhi Airport is not just meeting today’s demands but anticipating the needs of tomorrow’s travelers.
