Air India Scales Up Kathmandu, Colombo, Bangkok Routes To Meet Surging Demand

Kathmandu, Colombo, Bangkok Routes Boosted by Air India

Air India Enters 4 New Interline Partnerships To Provide Greater Access To Europe And Central Asia
This setup ensures a premium, full-service flying experience for travellers on these routes.

Air India has announced the addition of more flights to Bangkok, Colombo, and Kathmandu to meet the increasing passenger demand.

Effective 07 July 2025, Air India will add:

  • A sixth daily flight between Delhi and Kathmandu, increasing frequency from 35x weekly to 42x weekly.
  • A second daily flight between Delhi and Colombo, doubling the frequency on the route from 7x weekly to 14x weekly.
  • A third daily flight between Mumbai and Bangkok, increasing frequency from 13x weekly to 18x weekly.

Air India is set to expand its services by adding over 7,000 seats for flights to and from Bangkok, Colombo, and Kathmandu. The new flights to these destinations will be operated using Air India’s top narrowbody aircraft, featuring a three-class cabin configuration that includes Premium Economy Class. This setup ensures a premium, full-service flying experience for travellers on these routes. Moreover, Air India’s services to Colombo, Kathmandu, and Bangkok offer seamless one-stop connectivity to various destinations in North America, Europe, and the Far East.

Air India has increased its flight frequency, now offering 42 weekly flights to Kathmandu, 28 weekly flights to Colombo, and 46 weekly flights to Bangkok. Reservations for these additional flights are now available across all platforms, including Air India’s website, mobile app, airport ticket offices, contact centres, and through all travel agents.
