Under a newly signed two-year memorandum of collaboration, the two organizations will launch targeted digital campaigns that highlight Malaysia’s cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and urban experiences. Agoda will utilize its digital platform and social media channels to showcase the country’s unique offerings, ranging from culinary delights to scenic wonders.

The collaboration supports Tourism Malaysia’s objective of attracting 45 million international visitors by 2025. Agoda will offer global travel insights to aid in Tourism Malaysia’s policy planning and to enhance promotional efforts, aimed at both international and domestic travellers.

Tourism Malaysia’s Director-General, Manoharan Periasamy, expressed confidence that the partnership will enhance tourist arrivals and support the achievement of VM2026 goals by embracing digitalization. Meanwhile, Agoda’s Country Director for Malaysia, Fabian Teja, highlighted the company’s commitment to connecting Malaysia with global travellers through innovative technology and engaging content, emphasizing the country’s rainforests and cultural heritage.

Both organizations will collaborate to share best practices through joint workshops focused on traveller behaviour and sustainable tourism development. The aim is to enhance user experience and promote the exploration of Malaysia’s diverse destinations.
