Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Calgary Downtown Appoints Rahul Korgaokar as General Manager

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Calgary Downtown has appointed Rahul Korgaokar as General Manager, effective June 15.

Korgaokar brings extensive international experience in hospitality, with a career spanning hotel operations, food and beverage leadership, and general management across India and Canada. He began his career with The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts in Mumbai as Restaurant Manager, building a foundation in luxury hospitality.

He later progressed into senior food and beverage leadership roles, including Food & Beverage Director in Goa, before moving into broader operational responsibilities. His experience also includes serving as Director of Operations at Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre, where he gained exposure to large-format hotel management.

Korgaokar has held General Manager positions with Aurika Hotels & Resorts Udaipur and Hilton Garden Inn Lucknow, where he was responsible for hotel operations and business performance.

He further expanded his international experience in Canada, taking on leadership roles including Director of Operations and General Manager across Marriott International and IHG Hotels & Resorts in Ontario.

In his new role at Fairfield Inn, Korgaokar will oversee overall hotel operations, guest experience, commercial performance, and team leadership.

His appointment reflects the brand’s focus on strengthening leadership, enhancing operational performance, and supporting continued growth at the property.
