Accor Shared Services has announced the promotion of Sumit Gupta to General Manager of Novotel & ibis Deira Creekside Dubai, handling 553 keys, part of the Arenco Accor Cluster.
With over two decades of expertise in hotel operations, business development, and revenue management, Sumit has showcased strategic leadership and a knack for operational excellence.
Sumit has been a key part of Novotel and ibis Deira Creekside Dubai since 2021, serving as Hotel Manager where he successfully led hotel operations and guided the commercial team. His tenure saw an 16% increase in overall revenue, consistent ARI and RGI leadership, and strengthened market positioning for both properties.
Beginning his career in front office operations and revenue management across renowned international brands such as InterContinental, Grand Hyatt, and Rotana, Sumit grew in ranks into senior leadership roles, including Cluster Director of Revenue Management Accor Shared Services.
There, he managed a portfolio of seven hotels, delivering sustained RGI growth and elevating online revenue contributions significantly. His background in revenue strategy has played a pivotal role in driving profitable business mix transformations and enhancing brand loyalty across properties.
