IHG Hotels & Resorts Signs The Venice Times as 3rd Vignette Collection Property in Italy
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Pacini Group to rebrand The Venice Times hotel under the Vignette Collection. Located in Venice’s historic centre, the property will become IHG’s third Vignette Collection signing in Italy, following Hotel Alexandra and Costa Irminia Retreat & Spa. The rebranding is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
This marks the second collaboration between IHG and Pacini Group, building on their existing partnership with the Garner Hotel Rome Aurelia. The signing strengthens IHG’s luxury and lifestyle presence in Italy, which currently includes eight open hotels and five more in development.
The Venice Times will join Hotel Indigo Venice – Sant’Elena as part of IHG’s Venice footprint. Its location offers guests access to key city attractions such as the Venice Casino, Ca’ d’Oro, the Grand Canal, and Rialto Bridge, with Vaporetto water bus services nearby.
With 30 rooms, the hotel will feature Venetian-inspired décor, a cocktail bar, an outdoor terrace, and a restaurant serving locally inspired cuisine. The team is recognised for personalised service and local recommendations, helping guests explore Venice beyond the typical tourist routes.
Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said:
“The signing of The Venice Times enhances our presence in Venice, a city with consistent demand from international and domestic travellers. We are pleased to continue growing Vignette Collection alongside Pacini Group.”
Emidio Pacini, CEO & Owner of Pacini Group, added:
“Rebranding The Venice Times under Vignette Collection allows us to integrate responsibility and local engagement into the guest experience. This project supports our wider investment in Venice and strengthens our collaboration with IHG.”
The Vignette Collection brand brings together distinctive hotels with a focus on cultural connection, local partnerships, and unique guest rituals. The Venice Times, Vignette Collection, will align with this ethos while contributing to IHG’s expanding portfolio of 30 open hotels across seven brands in Italy, with 15 more properties in development.
