Etihad Airways Expands Greek Network with SKY Express Codeshare
Etihad Airways has signed a codeshare agreement with Greek regional carrier SKY express, expanding access to 24 Greek island destinations and three additional Eastern Mediterranean cities via Athens.
Effective 14 July 2025, the partnership builds on the airlines’ existing interline cooperation and enhances Etihad’s connectivity across the Greek islands and the broader region.
Under the agreement, Etihad will place its code on SKY express-operated flights from Athens, facilitating single-itinerary access to popular islands including Crete, Rhodes, Mykonos, Santorini, Kos, Corfu, Paros, and Thessaloniki.
The collaboration strengthens Etihad’s daily service to Athens by positioning the Greek capital as a hub for onward island connections.
Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways, said: “This partnership with SKY express allows our customers greater convenience in exploring Greece beyond Athens. The expanded network enhances our offering with seamless access to key Mediterranean destinations.”
Gerasimos Skaltsas, Chief Commercial Officer at SKY Express, added: “Partnering with Etihad underscores SKY Express’s role in regional connectivity. Travellers benefit from broader access to Greece’s diverse destinations with streamlined booking and travel processes.”
The codeshare enables integrated check-in and automatic baggage transfers, with bookings available via etihad.com, the Etihad app, and travel agencies.
This partnership reinforces Athens’ role in Etihad’s European network while enhancing travel options across Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean.
