Hilton to Introduce Spark by Hilton Brand in Puerto Rico with 120-Room Hotel
Hilton has announced the signing of Spark by Hilton Ponce, marking the brand’s planned entry into the Caribbean and Latin America. Expected to open in late 2025 in Ponce, Puerto Rico’s second-largest city, Ponce Resorts Inc. owns the hotel and will be managed by HI Development P.R. Corp.
Pablo Maturana, Vice President, Development, Caribbean and Latin America, Hilton, said:
“The signing of Spark by Hilton Ponce reflects Hilton’s ongoing efforts to expand its portfolio in the region. This addition will help address the demand for accessible, quality accommodations for both business and leisure travellers.”

Located near Ponce International Airport and Highway 52, Spark by Hilton Ponce will offer 120 rooms, meeting space, a breakfast area, and an outdoor pool. Amenities will include in-room refrigerators, complimentary breakfast, and shared spaces designed for dining, working, or socializing.
Alissa Klees, Global Brand Leader, Spark by Hilton, noted that the brand emphasizes simplicity and standardized operations for owners and guests alike.

Spark by Hilton Ponce will join Hilton’s existing presence in Puerto Rico, where the company operates over 10 hotels and plans to double its presence in the next four years. Across the Caribbean and Latin America, Hilton operates around 290 hotels with more than 145 in development.
Globally, Spark by Hilton has surpassed 160 open hotels within its first year, with a pipeline of over 190 properties, including many ongoing conversions. Guests at Spark by Hilton Ponce will have access to Hilton Honors, the company’s loyalty program.
