Cygnett Signs 9th Hotel in Northeast with Cygnett Park Guwahati

Cygnett Park Guwahati

Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of its ninth hotel in Northeast India—Cygnett Park Guwahati. In partnership with SRKS Hospitalities Private Limited, the new property will open in July 2026, located near the Guwahati-Meghalaya border. It’s 45 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the city center, making it ideal for both business and leisure travellers.

This signing follows the launch of Cygnett Park Itanagar, marking Cygnett’s growing presence in the region. The hotel will feature 108 rooms and suites, a variety of dining options, wellness amenities, and 9,000 sq ft of event space. Cygnett Park Guwahati is set to become a prime destination for corporate gatherings, weddings, and tourism, aligning with the Indian government’s push for growth in the Northeast.

“We were one of the first branded hospitality chains to establish a presence in Northeast India. We are steadily moving toward a 2000-key footprint in the region by 2029. In the Rising Northeast Summit 2025, which took place earlier this year, some of the key Indian industries announced investments worth more than ₹4.3 lakh crore to explore opportunities in the Northeast. The economic growth happening in the region is playing an instrumental role in the development of the tourism and hospitality sector here,” said Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts.

Cygnett aims to expand to 2,000 keys in the region by 2029. With eight operational properties in the Northeast, the company plans to open 12-15 hotels annually across India.
