Air Canada Adds 4 Latin America Routes for Winter 2025–26, Including Return to Lima
Air Canada has announced new additions to its winter 2025–26 schedule, including the resumption of non-stop flights to Lima, Peru and the launch of three new routes to destinations in Central America and Mexico.
Beginning December 2025, the airline will offer twice-weekly flights to Lima from both Toronto and Montreal. In addition, new services will connect:
- Montreal to Belize City
- Toronto to Puerto Escondido, Mexico*
- Vancouver to Tepic, Riviera Nayarit, Mexico*
Tickets are now available at aircanada.com, through Air Canada Contact Centres, and travel agents.
The expansion is part of Air Canada’s New Frontiers Strategy, aimed at growing its leisure travel network across Latin America and the Caribbean. These new routes are planned to support both passenger travel and regional cargo movement, while offering improved connections for Canadian and European travellers.
Puerto Escondido, on Mexico’s Pacific coast, is known for its surf beaches and relaxed atmosphere.
Tepic, the capital of Nayarit, offers access to nearby destinations such as Sayulita, San Pancho, and Punta Mita, especially with the new highway to Puerto Vallarta expected to open in October 2025.
This winter, Air Canada will operate over 55 daily flights to 52 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean, offering more than 80,000 weekly seats.
*Flights to Puerto Escondido and Tepic are subject to approval by the Mexican government.
