TAT Meets Airlines to Drive Tourism Growth in Late 2025

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hosted its Airline Focus Partnership Meeting on July 7, 2025, to strengthen collaboration with over 50 airlines and key tourism groups ahead of the Q4 peak season.

TAT Deputy Governors Mrs. Chiravadee Khunsub and Ms. Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai led the meeting, joined by key agencies including the Airline Operators Committee, Airports of Thailand (AOT), IATA, CAAT, and the U-Tapao Airport Authority.

Airlines attending included Aeroflot, Qatar Airways, Emirates, Japan Airlines, ANA, Air China, Cathay Pacific, Malaysia Airlines, Philippine Airlines, THAI, Thai AirAsia, Bangkok Airways, and Nok Air.

The meeting focused on boosting international arrivals through joint promotional efforts, increasing flight capacity, and enhancing connections. Discussions also aimed to align campaigns with travel trends to encourage visitor spending and benefit local communities.

Thailand welcomed over 16.68 million international visitors from January to June 2025, supported by 24.59 million inbound seats—up 7% year-on-year and reaching 88% of pre-pandemic levels. Key markets included Russia, the UK, Germany, France, the US, Malaysia, China, India, South Korea, and Japan.
