Avani Rio Novo Venice‘s Serenissima, a new British artist Jeff Robb show, mixes modern art into ordinary life. Following last year’s successful collaboration, the hotel has teamed up with Cris Contini Contemporary to provide an experience that takes art beyond typical gallery walls. The show converts the hotel’s common spaces into a sensory art adventure open to guests and the general public until November 14, 2025. With its finger on the pulse of Venice’s cultural scene, Avani Rio Novo continues to offer immersive stays and stimulating experiences.

Serenissima is a magical journey through gender, nature, and perception. Jeff Robb is renowned for inventing lenticular photography and pushing the frontiers of three-dimensional art. A Royal College of Art graduate, his work combines technology and emotion to produce moving visuals that move with the observer, transporting visitors to a realm where beauty is fluid and ever-changing.

The exhibition encourages visitors to delve beyond the surface in the hotel’s common areas. In the breakfast room, classically inspired still lifes meet modern compositions. The pathway features digitally created tulips from the Rorschach Flower series that change and reveal hidden figures and bizarre forms. The hotel’s 8 Millimetri restaurant and conference areas feature feminine shapes that evoke Venice’s charm and timelessness. Outside, the mirrored sculpture Affinity mirrors the garden’s foliage, encouraging reflection and connection.

Gallerist Cristian Contini commented: “Serenissima captures the timeless essence of Venice and reimagines it through Jeff’s poetic lens. His lenticular pieces create a dialogue with the hotel’s architecture, inviting guests and visitors alike to experience beauty from new perspectives slowly.”

Avani Rio Novo Venice, located in the Dorsoduro area of Venice, combines modern elegance with local character. The hotel‘s glass façade frames 144 rooms steps away from Campo Santa Margherita, which borders bacari, galleries, and canals. Avani Rio Novo transforms hotel spaces into an ongoing canvas, inviting guests to experience creativity, connection, and cultural discovery at every step.
