APPOINTMENT
JW Marriott Goa has announced the appointment of Himanshu Taneja as its new General Manager. Himanshu brings with him over 25 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry. An alumnus of the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Trivandrum, Himanshu Taneja began his career at The Leela Mumbai and went on to work with renowned hotel groups such as Taj Hotels, The Oberoi Group, and Marriott International.
He started his career with Marriott International in 2010 as an Executive Chef. He was first appointed at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu and later moved to The St Regis Mumbai as Culinary Director. In 2018, he was promoted to Director of Culinary for South Asia, where he elevated the region’s food and beverage strategy. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Operations for South and East India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, overseeing 48 hotels.
At JW Marriott Goa, Taneja will spearhead a leadership team focused on enhancing employee engagement, improving guest satisfaction, and strengthening stakeholder relationships. His strategic vision, energy, and attention to detail are expected to drive both operational excellence and market growth.
