IHG Hotels & Resorts is celebrating a milestone with the opening of 100 hotels in its voco brand in seven years. Launched in 2018, voco is known for providing unique and thoughtful guest experiences. It has established itself as a growing brand within IHG’s Premium collection, achieving notable levels of development activity in 2024. Voco has properties in over 25 countries, with plans for further market entries in Türkiye, Malaysia, and Aruba over the next two years.
The brand has experienced remarkable growth since its launch. As of 2023, it had 100 hotels open or in the pipeline. Since then, both its operational and pipeline hotels have nearly doubled, demonstrating the strength of IHG’s enterprise platform and aligning with its strategy to enhance IHG’s capacity to seize conversion opportunities. Currently, voco operates 100 hotels across 25 countries, with an additional 95 properties planned for the future.
The brand’s success is attributed to its flexible design approach and an operational framework facilitating conversions. This lets owners quickly benefit from IHG’s enterprise platform with minimal upfront costs. voco allows individual properties to join a distinctive brand portfolio, where customized enhancements make a significant impact while preserving each hotel’s unique character.

The voco Guilin Yangshuo is the 100th voco hotel and is located in the beautiful Ten-Mile Gallery in Yangshuo. It is only minutes away from popular attractions like West Street and Ruyi Peak. The hotel has six villas with a total of 73 guest rooms. Each room offers stunning views of the Karst peaks and the Yulong River, thanks to floor-to-ceiling glass walls that create a picture-like experience.
The hotel features a restaurant called Yue Shunge, which serves a mix of Cantonese and Guangxi dishes. The chefs use local ingredients to create flavorful meals that showcase the region’s culinary traditions. The voco Quang Binh Resort by IHG is the world’s first voco resort, situated along Bao Ninh Beach in Dong Hoi.
