Sax Paris: France’s Newest Luxury Destination

Hilton has recently unveiled Sax Paris, which is part of LXR Hotels & Resorts. This 118-room hotel, nestled in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, features a neo-Gothic structure with rooftop views. Sax Paris marks the inaugural appearance of the LXR Hotels & Resorts brand in France.

It joins a collection of luxury hotels worldwide, each offering guests a chance to embark on a journey of exploration and adventure. Sax Paris was developed and owned by Compagnie de Phalsbourg, a prominent French real estate firm.

Sax Paris revitalizes the historic 1899 building that previously accommodated the Ségur telephone exchange, transforming it into a space for travellers and locals to connect, converse, and immerse themselves in the culture of the Rive Gauche (Left Bank). Reflecting the charm of the 7th arrondissement, where art, culture, and history converge, the hotel invites guests to relax in its atmosphere. Sax Paris offers rooms and suites, two restaurants, a cocktail bar, and versatile event spaces. Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool and garden, while the fitness and spa club provides a retreat. From this location, visitors can conveniently explore nearby attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, Musée d’Orsay, and Jardin du Luxembourg.

The hotel’s design studio, led by Karine Journo, reinterprets Left Bank through a modern lens, uniting artists, decorators, and designers. Guests are welcomed via The Galerie, a vibrant social hub adorned with 200 mirrors and Baccarat chandeliers. Beyond the gallery lies the SAX Garden, a city centre oasis designed by Studio Ravn, inspired by romantic French-style gardens, and featuring a heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Sax Paris also showcases creations from renowned contemporary artists, including Arik Levy’s crystal sculpture ‘Rockstone’ at the garden entrance and a restaurant ceiling mural by street artist Sto, referencing the building’s historic République Française insignia.

The hotel’s 118 rooms and suites feature a contemporary design of neutral colours and natural materials, including marble bathrooms and wood panelling. Many offer connecting options for families, while others open onto private terraces. Three signature suites – The Studio, The Winter Garden Suite, and The Signature Suite – feature in-room cocktail stations. Minibars are stocked with Parisian favourites curated through a partnership with the iconic Le Bon Marché’s La Grande Épicerie de Paris.

Sax Paris offers unique dining experiences. Restaurant Le SAX serves as an all-day bar and restaurant where both hotel guests and Parisians can socialize and enjoy brunch, lunch, or dinner. Led by Executive Chef David Maroleau, a veteran of Michelin-starred establishments, Restaurant Le SAX highlights the finest of ‘all that we love.’

The renowned Kinugawa brand introduces its Franco-Japanese dining experience to the rooftop of Sax Paris. Kinugawa Rive Gauche, a two-level rooftop restaurant, merges Parisian sophistication with Japanese culinary excellence. The cocktail bar reinvents Parisian classics, incorporating Japanese ingredients like yuzu and shiso.
