Pride Hotels tie up with Sohum Spa

Mumbai’s First Floating Restaurants

After a month in sea, Mumbai’s first cruise ships – Neverland and See Yah - have finally reached India in early January 2018. Indian husband-wife duo Mridul Thirani and Shripriya Dalmia Thirani received the ships in the Mumbai Port after it set sail from Turkey. The ships will be Mumbai’s first ever floating restaurants, which will also cruise between the Gateway of India and Chowpatty.

First bid to open restaurants on the Arabian Sea
After scouting across the globe, the Thiranis zeroed in on these two ships in Turkey each having a capacity to host 400 diners. In a proud moment, the duo hurled the Indian flag over the Bosphorous in Istanbul along with two of the ship’s original owners before it set sail for India.

History was made when the Delhi based couple, in their late 30s, won the first ever bid to open restaurants on the Arabian Sea. Both of them who are outsiders to the food and restaurant business beat industry honchos and swung the tide towards them by a demonstration of their sheer love for Mumbai and its waterfront.

ITC Hotels Indoor Air Quality

Camfil, the world leader in clean air solutions announced that it has entered into an exclusive partnership with ITC Hotels, a leading five-star hotel chain in India to improve the indoor air quality standard inside the hotels. As part of the collaboration, Camfil India, the Indian subsidiary of Sweden based Camfil AB will bring its state of the art technology and high-end filtration systems to ensure that the guest at the ITC hotels breathe the cleanest air to standards prescribed by World Health Organization (WHO). The ongoing project will open its doors with Delhi’s best air quality, this month.

A dynamic plaque displaying real time air quality both indoor & outdoor will be placed at the ITC Maurya lobby.

Hotel Classification Guidelines Streamlined To
Make Them Simple, Transparent And Time Bound

1. How was the year 2017 for you in terms of Indian tourists visiting your destination?
Hotel classification guidelines have been streamlined to make them simple, transparent and time bound.

The application for classification and payments of fees have been made through digital platform only and the prevalent options of application by post and payment of fees by Demand.

Draft has been done away with. This has ensured the eradication of possibility of delay/manipulation caused by human interference.

Similarly, the time limit for ensuring compliances on deficiencies of a hotel, the prevalent system had an open ended scope without any prescribed time limit. The recent amendments have included a time limit of three months, thus removing any discretion in the matter. This will ensure a time bound compliance and speedy disposal of cases.
