The Postcard Hotel Goes International

The latest entrant in the Indian luxury hotel space, The Postcard Hotel, is all set to receive guests in Sri Lanka and Bhutan this November. After a successful start of three hotels in Goa, the brand's first international venture will be the stunning mountain setting of Bhutan and the historic town of Galle in Sri Lanka. Globally no luxury brand has expanded this fast with international openings in its first year of operations.

With over 1,000 crores of assets under management today and projects underway across South Asia, The Postcard Hotel is looking at owning or managing over USD 1 Billion (7,000 crores) of assets in 5 years. The Postcard Hotel is on track to open 50 hotels in 5 years in experiential destinations across the world. The investment will be an intelligent mix of buying off the asset, taking a long term lease on the asset or managing it as a management company. On an operational level, the hotels in Goa have been profitable since inception in December 2018, due to a strong focus on consumer preferences and highly personalized service. The Postcard Dewa, will be the perfect base from which one can explore the magnificent landscape and culture of Bhutan. The newly built hotel with 15 suites, located with a spectacular hilltop view of the Thimphu valley and surrounding forests, aims to provide a sense of splendid seclusion, while being just a 20 minute drive from the city's sights and sounds. The hotel is a comfortable 40 minute drive from the Paro international airport. As the only carbon negative country in the world, 72% of Bhutan is forest covered, and the landscapes provide constant opportunities for photography.

Radisson Collection to Debut in New Zealand

Radisson Hotel Group recently announced the introduction of stylish and sophisticated hospitality to New Zealand, with the signing of the country's inaugural Radisson Collection hotel in Queenstown. The launch of Radisson Collection forms part of a strategic expansion of Radisson Hotel Group's brands in New Zealand; the Group also recently announced plans to open its first Radisson Blu, Radisson RED and Park Inn by Radisson hotels in the country, giving guests a fresh choice of world-class accommodation.

Scheduled to open in Q1, 2022, Radisson Collection Hotel, Queenstown will be a beautiful new boutique hotel commanding a prime location on the corner of Brecon Street and Man Street, in the buzzing epicenter of the city. Just a short stroll from a vibrant mix of shops, restaurants and cafes, and close to the famous Skyline Queenstown gondola, the hotel will provide guests an inside track on Queenstown's lively urban scene.

The hotel will feature 61 elegantly appointed rooms, including studios, suites, corner suites and a stunning penthouse, all crafted with a creative design concept that blends contemporary style with the area's rich heritage. The onsite restaurant will showcase fresh local and seasonal produce, while the day spa will allow guests to relax and re–energize.

The Prince Akatoki London Opens

Marriott International Debuts in Maldives

JW Marriott, part of Marriott International, Inc., recently announced the opening of JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa on Vagaru island, Shaviyani atoll in the Maldives. The opening marks the debut of Marriott International's iconic JW Marriott brand in this paradisiacal island destination, with the brand–new resort located just 55 minutes via seaplane from the capital of Male, Maldives.

The stunning new resort features 60 spacious villas, starting at approximately 2,520 sq. feet, which include private pools and wooden sunbathing decks. Duplex Overwater Pool Villas and single–story Overwater Pool Villas are set on stilts overlooking the clear turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, with a choice of sunrise or sunset views. While Beach Pool Villas come with direct access to the pristine white sandy beaches of the private island, the unique, splitlevel Duplex Beach Pool Villa is designed to cater to multigenerational families, featuring separate lounges, bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate larger groups.
